What is Kundalini Yoga?
Kundalini Yoga is the 3,000 year-old yogic technology that awakens and raises the kundalini shakti (energy) that resides at the base of our spine. We use all 22 styles of yoga at one time - hatha (the physical shapes), pranayama (breath control), mudra (hand positions), mantra (chanting), body angles, bandhas (energy locks), etc to activate and raise the kundalini energy. This process strengthens the nervous system, balances the endocrine system, and produces a heightened state of awareness. Kundalini Yoga is called the Yoga of Awareness because these modalities increase one’s consciousness, so that what was once unknown becomes known. It clears the subconscious mind resulting in spaciousness and connection to our own Creative Consciousness. When the kundalini is raised, we vibrate at a higher frequency, which attracts more of the same. Kundalini Yoga must be directly experienced to be understood. It’s best to learn under the guidance of an experienced teacher to help support your awakening process.

Kundalini Yoga
"The first class I ever took at One Yoga was Tuesday night Kundalini class with Rebecca. I had never taken a class like this before but I knew from the class description that it could possibly be something that I was desperately looking for in my life. Lo and behold - I knew from the moment she started to speak- leading us through mediation, breathwork and mantras that I had found my home. Rebecca is a very knowledgeable, vibrant, energetic and a wonderfully caring teacher. If you’re seeking a yoga class that is very spiritual and mindful, I would highly recommend taking this class with Rebecca!"

Soulful Sunday Yoga
"Rebecca’s Soulful Sunday yoga class has been tremendously helpful for improving my emotional and physical well-being and has made it easier for me to deal with stress in life! The dharma talk she gives at the beginning of each class is amazing. It always touches on real life experiences and we get the chance to contribute to the topic/discussion. It’s wonderful to hear other stories & experiences and share yours if you want to. Rebecca emanates joy and positive energy, and you leave her class feeling fantastic!Rebecca introduced a Sat Kriya kundalini chant to me, and I’ve been doing it for 11 minutes each morning. I feel so much better in general and I’m not bothered by daily stress. It immediately lifts my spirit and soul! The remarkable thing about Rebecca is that she “walks the walk and talks the talk,” and is literally living proof of the benefits of these practices. I find her so inspiring and my life has benefited greatly because of her!"
